“Yotsudegoya” is a secretly popular tourist spot in Okayama City’s Higashi Ward, where you can catch fish with a big, square net. It’s five meters wide and high, and can be raised or lowered with the press of a button. The fish you can catch with it vary from season to season, but they include shad, sardines, and sometimes even largehead hairtail. Inside Yotsudegoya’s cabins, you’ll find a kitchen where you can prepare your catch, with refridgerator, stovetop, and dishes.
You can stay there from the evening to the following morning (this differs from cabin to cabin), and would be a great place to enjoy yourself with friends or family. Since each cabin’s equipment varies, some confirmation is required when making a reservation.
