Okayama Korakuen

Views: time(s)

Beautiful scenery for every season! Take part in Japanese culture activities amongst the abundant nature of this park!

Around 300 years ago during the Edo period, the provincial lord of the Okayama domain, Ikeda Tsunamasa, created this magnificent garden as a place of relaxation, which rivals Kenrokuen (Kanazawa) and Kairakuen (Mito) as one of Japan’s three great garden parks. Okayama Korakuen draws visitors for its beautiful seasonal scenery, earning a maximum three-star rating from the Michelin Green Guide Japan. As a place to experience Japanese culture activities year-round, Okayama Korakuen has become an exceedingly popular spot for international tourists.
